Nursery School
Welcome!
The Ellis Hollow Nursery School provides a friendly and loving atmosphere where young children, ages 3-5, can grow and learn. Our program helps each child develop intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically.
We provide daily opportunities for the children to learn as they do best -- with hands-on activities for observing, exploring, and experimenting -- centered around monthly themes. Equally important are the large blocks of time the children have for socializing with each other and practicing the confidence and independence they'll need to move into kindergarten.
Classes are held Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings in the Ellis Hollow Community Center, a peaceful spot surrounded by woods and fields. The classroom and attached kitchen are large and well-lit, and a fenced playground adjoins the building.
The Ellis Hollow Community Center is located on Genung Road, in the eastern side of Ithaca. It is convenient to Cornell University.
Class size is limited to 15 students.
